SENECA FALLS, N.Y. -- A smoke shop in Seneca County was raided on a federal search warrant. Officials with the ATF say the Skydancer Smoke Shop on Bayard Street in Seneca Falls was selling cigarettes without the New York State tax stamps on them.
Agents say they seized about 800 cases of contraband cigarettes and hauled them away in a tractor trailer. Officials say the shop can open again, but they cannot sell the untaxed cigarettes because it's against the law.
My question is:
Where did all the contraband cigarettes go?
Did the government dispose of them or is some government official sitting on a lifetime supply of smokes?
